Rock crystal lever dress watch

A Swiss/French rock crystal, platinum, 18 carat yellow gold, enamel and diamond set open faced keyless pocket watch made by Cartier in Paris and the European Watch and Clock Co. in Le Sentier, circa 1925. The watch features a nickel mechanical lever movement with 19 jewels and eight adjustments. It has a two tone silvered dial with a guilloché center, an outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals on an inner brushed chapter ring and blued Breguet hands. The case is made of rock crystal and platinum with a white enamel bezel featuring alternating yellow gold radial Roman hour numerals and flowerhead half hour markers, a platinum band set with rose cut diamonds and a triangular platinum bow. The dial is signed Cartier, and the movement is signed European Watch and Clock Co. Inc.

The case is in overall very good condition, displaying light surface wear and scuffs. The rock crystal remains intact. The platinum mark on the bow is present but shows signs of rubbing and wear. The enamel and gold bezel exhibit surface wear and some scuffs. The diamonds are intact, though their quality and condition have not been tested. The dial is in very good overall condition, with wear and surface marks on the outermost perimeter and some light dust. The movement is running.
