A Swiss 18 carat Yellow gold extra quality keyless pocket watch, made by Patek Philippe & Co in Geneva, Circa 1900. Cuvette engraved with dedication in taille douce. Case back blue and white champlevé enamelled with the initial “B”. The Watch of Eugène Brieux (1858-1932), donated by Mr and Mrs George Kessler (1863-1920) and Mrs Valentin Webster, on behalf of the Permanent Blind Relief War Fund, 1917-1918.

Egg-shell colour enamel dial with black radial bold numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel Breguet hands. A rhodium plated movement, going barrel, gold screwed chaton (setting) on the central wheel, straigh line equilibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensated balance and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, polished steel index regulator, Extra quality, eight adjustments. The dial is signed by Tiffany & Co., and the movement by Patek Philippe & Co. and Tiffany & Co.
