Minute repeating pocket watch

A very fine and rare minute repeating 18 Carat yellow gold keyless pocket watch with split seconds chronograph and register. Accompanied by a retailer’s wooden box signed Sontag, Genève and made by Audemars Piguet & Co., Geneva Circa 1912.
Four body bassine and polished case with back cover with engraved monogram, the interior with engraved dedication, co axial button in the crown for the start/stop/return to zero functions of the chronograph, button at 11 o’clock for the split seconds and a hinged gold cuvette with engraved presentation inscription.
White enamel dial with bold radial Roman numerals, outer minute and fifths of a second divisions, Arabic five minute numerals, 60 minute register at 12 o’clock, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands.
Rhodium-plated movement with Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator and repeating on two coiled steel gongs activated by a slide on the band.
