A fine and rare large 14 Carat pink gold keyless lever chronometer dress watch. Made by Rolex in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1940. Two body and polished case with stepped rounded bezel and the back with engraved monogram HRL.
Pink gold brushed dial with applied pink gold Arabic numerals and faceted baton indexes, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and pink gold baton hands. `Chronometer` and rhodium-plated movement with 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 7 positions, with Rolex patented cap, self-compensating Breguet balance spring and an index regulator.
Dial, case and movement signed.
