A fine quarter repeating 18 Carat gold pocket watch, made by J. Frs. Bautte & Cie, Genève Circa 1840. Four body, Empire and engine-turned case with a polished bezel and back rim and a hinged gold cuvette.
Silver sunray engine-turned dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and gold Breguet hands.
Frosted gilt movement with cylinder escapement, three-arm balance with flat balance spring, index regulator and repeating on gongs activated by a plunge in the bow stem.
Cuvette signed.
