Gold case set with pearls and enamelled with Venus and Adonis after a painting by Etienne Jeaurat engraved by René Gaillard, movement signed ‘Js. Coulin & Amy Bry a Geneve’, also signed ‘Orazio Semeraro (the retailer), Switzerland, Genèva, circa 1790-1800. A remarkable  gold and enamel verge pocket watch with an enamel scene on the back. The back of this charming pocket watch is decorated with polycrome enamel, it shows a scene of angels. The case is gold and enamel with pearls, the signed dial is white enamel with Roman numerals and decorative hands, front winding. It has a full plate movement and a chain/fusee, ruby endstone.
