A Swiss decorative minute repeating pocket watch with quarter-hour/hour self strike Grande Sonnerie in an elaborately decorated hunting gold case – with watch chain, circa 1895.
18 Carat gold, à goutte case, lavishly florally engraved with Renaissance motives, gold dome, levers to set Quarters or Hours and Silent or Strike, glazed movement. Signed enamel dial with inlaid gold decor, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, and blued spade hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, two hammers / two gongs, two barrels with tandem winding, screwed gold chatons, gold screw compensation balance.
