–
A Swiss gold quarter repeating automaton watch with jacquemarts, circa 1790. The watch features a gilded full plate movement with verge escapement and a pierced and engraved balance bridge. Its dial includes a white enamel chapter ring, Arabic numerals, Breguet style hands, and a skeletonised background with classical jacquemarts holding hammers for striking. The case is made of 18 carat gold with an engine turned back, milled band, and a locking slide to the band for plunge repeat. It also has a signed gilt metal cuvette.

The movement is operational, but will need adjustments due to repetition. There is a hairline crack in the enamel. The case shows signs of wear with engine-turning rubbed and light scuffs throughout.
