Large verge watch with matching chatelaine probably by Compagnie Duchêne

An extraordinary large Swiss 18 carat rose gold, enamel and pearl-set open faced verge pocket watch with original gold and enamel chatelaine, circa 1790. Especially flat, possibly Gregson, calibre with verge escapement. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and rare rose gold hands, the tip of the minute hand is missing. Case engine-turned, the back florally engraved with blue translucent blue enamel (below the pendant very professionally restored fissure), set with oriental half pearls on both sides, Parisian gold punch. Comes with matching gold and enamel chatelaine.

With the marking CD 5320/5321 it is obvious that case and movement belong together and that it is probably a watch of the company Compagnie Duchêne in Geneva.
