Gold open faced watch by Breguet

A very fine Breguet dress watch “Montre Simple Extra-Plate”  from the possession of Count Rucellai of Florence, with original watch chain and original box as well as confirmation of the originality of Breguet sold to Monsieur Giangiulio, circa 1903.
An 18 carat gold with white gold rim, extra flat, reeded mid section, back with white gold monogram of Count Giangiulio Rucellai  which engraved G. Giangiulio Rucellai – Palazzo Rucellai-Firenze, case maker Verger Frères, extra flat and fine lever movement with Genèva stripes, excellent preserved, original dial with golden numerals, golden Breguet hands, additional 18 carat gold/white gold watch chain, signed original box, standard of museum.

The Palazzo Rucellai is an important Renaissance building in Florence. It was commissioned in 1446 by Giovanni Rucellai (1403-1481). Giangiulio Rucellai was Count of Florence and died in 1969. The authenticity confirmation of the watch, issued by Emmanuel Breguet, is available in the copy. This watch comes from an European collection.
