Gilt brass single hand oignon watch

A fine French, gilt brass, single hand oignon pocket watch with central winding, circa 1710. Back chased and engraved with strapwork and foliage, foliate border and bezel, square hinge, loose ring pendant. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, inner quarter hour ring. Blued steel tulip hand. Winding from the front only, frosted gilt full plate movement, divided Egyptian pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three arm steel balance, pierced and chased cock decorated with inhabited foliage and a profile mask, Tompion type regulator with silver scale disc. Movement signed. Property of a Swiss Collector.
