Fine and rare silver and pink gold keyless pocket watch

A fine and rare silver and pink gold, keyless pocket watch, accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Made by Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, Switzerland for Gondolo & Labouriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro, Circa 1909 and sold on August 20th, 1909. Four body and bassine case with polished bezel and band, engine-turned back, pink gold hinges, collar and hand setting button and hinged silver cuvette.
White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds and gold spade hands. Gilt brass movement with 15 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement à moustaches, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with over coil and an index regulator.
Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed.

Patek silver Chronometro Gondolos are particularly rare. Interestingly they are complimented by beautiful pink gold accents on the bow, hinges and crown. The last one offered for sale was in 1999 at the Art of Patek Philippe sale.
