Silver open faced chronograph by Longines
–
A very fine, early single button chronograph “Compteur” by Longines, according to the extract from the archives delivered as a pilot’s chronograph to the company Longines/Blum in Italy, circa 1915. A signed original silver case, matching number with signed movement, inscribed “Chronographe Antimagnetique”, very fine caliber, precision lever movement with intermediate wheel chronograph, caliber 19.73N, original enamel dial with blue tachymeter scale and red telemeter scale in perfect condition, 30-minute counter, fine original gold hands, in excellent condition, in working order, with an extract from the archives.

Originally the movement left the Longines plants in an “aluminium transport case for pilots” and was delivered to the Longines agency Blum in Italy. Longines also supplied these movements to the U.S. Army.
