A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased dual time-zone pocket watch made for the Turkish market, circa 1840. Decorative lever movement, compensation balance, blued steel balance spring, index regulator. Hinged gilt cuvette. White enamel dial, two meantime dials with Turkish numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. Engraved front cover with a mosque in the centre, back cover engraved with scrolls and foliage, decorative band.
Both covers opened at the same time by depressing the button in the pendant. Cuvette signed.
