An important step in the evolution of the precision watch, the so-called “captain’s watch” was the ancestor of the chronograph. The present watch employs the Breguet bridge calibre movement and adopts its parachute shock-resistant suspension and temperature compensation. This new style of movement was able to both accommodate the complexity and increase precision.
