This historically significant minute repeater is an excellent example of mid 20th century case and dial craftsmanship, combined with a 17 lignes Patek Philippe movement finished to the highest standards. Made for a scion of the renowned American Du Pont family, this watch features the original fob, presentation cuvette, and the original owner’s initials elegantly engraved on the case back. The movement, which has just been serviced, is exceptionally well preserved, and one can see the HOX engraved near the balance, confirming that this watch was made for the American market. The pristine, unrestored dial with Breguet numerals is housed in a Patek Philippe bassine style case with hidden hinges, the ultimate sign of the finest case making of the era.
