A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold keyless lever dress watch, circa 1915. Retailed By Spaulding & Co. The watch boasts a gilt mechanical movement featuring 20 jewels and a lever escapement. The white enamel dial displays Roman numerals, an outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds, and blued steel hands. It features a polished 18 carat yellow gold case with a personally inscribed cuvette stating J.E. Bell 1919 and a monogrammed hinged back. It is accompanied by a Spaulding & Co. presentation case. The case and movement are signed by the maker and retailer, while the dial is signed by the maker.

The case is in overall good condition, with surface scratches and wear visible to the naked eye. It has previously had a light polish. The gold marks on the stem and bow are worn. The numbers on the inside of the case back and cuvette are clear. The enamel dial is in overall very good condition, with no visible hairlines. A few faint scratches are visible under a loupe. The movement is running.
