A large Swiss gun metal and painted on enamel keyless pocket watch with a triple date calendar and moon phases, circa 1900. With a gilt bow, bezel and hinges, the back cover is decorated with a painted enamel panel portrait of a Japanese lady against a blossom and gilt background. Gilt rimmed glazed cover over the movement. Two tone white and cream enamel dial with bold radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary dials for the date, days of the week, months and seconds, aperture for the moon phases and gilt Louis XVI hands. A rhodium plated movement, wavy line decoration, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, and an index regulator.
