The case of this watch is made in techniques of rarely used decorations. This kind of case is most likely made in France by a Parisian jeweller or goldsmith at a time when young creators like Alphonse Fouquet (1828-1911), Frédéric Boucheron (1830-1902), etc. were enjoying great success with their Revival designs, often incorporating fantastical and mythological creatures.
