An elegant Swiss 18K gold and diamond hunting cased enamel watch with blue enamel fleur-de-lis brooch, circa 1850. It was made for Shreve, Stanwood & Co. A polished and brushed case, the front with blue enamel around a floral diamond set design, the back with blue enamel surrounded by an engraved floral pattern and a floral centre, and the front and back covers opened by dual button mechanism. White enamel dial with black Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. A frosted gilt movement, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring, and an index regulator. Case signed Patek Philippe and Shreve, Boston, case stamped.
