A fine Swiss, Louis XV, 18K gold, dumb quarter repeating à toc pocket watch, circa 1760. A Louis XV case, bezel with a chased stiff-leaf repeated pattern, engine-turned back with central rosette and border to match the bezel. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and large Arabic five-minute numerals, winding aperture at 2. Gold Louis XV hands. A matte gilt movement, full-plate, turned pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial, repeating on the inside of the case activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and movement signed.
