A magnificent Swiss 18 carat rose gold quarter repeating verge pocket watch with two Jacquemart and erotic automaton, circa 1800. Full plate movement, keywound, chain/fusee, two hammers, two gongs, three armed brass balance. Smal white enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerlas, skeletonized, visible mirror polished rack strike, the two Jacquemarts, a man and a woman in three colour gold Roman armour, striking the hours with their hammers onto two large bells that are visible in the upper half of the dial, the automaton at 6 shows a pair of two colour gold figures, a couple making love on a Récamière, the erotic scene comes to life whenever the repeater is activated.
