A fine and flat French 18 carat gold key wound open faced pocket watch with digital jumping hours, circa 1840. The movement with a cylinder escapement. Gold guilloché dial, a brushed chapter ring with minute divisions and Arabic five minute numerals, an aperture for the digital hours at 12 o’clock with engraved floral decoration on both sides, subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued hands. An engraved case band, pendant and bow. Case numbered.
