A fine and elegant Swiss 18 carat gold and ruby set keyless dress watch with a skeletonized chapter ring and exposed movement made by Vacheron & Constantin in Geneva, circa 1903. The rhodium plated movement with Geneva Striping decoration, 18 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with five adjustments, blued steel flat balance spring and an index regulator. Skeletonized chapter ring with ruby set baguette hour indexes, a matte silvered center with striped engine turned decoration, a minute track with five minute markers and original gold sword hands. The polished case with a stepped bezel, glazed on both sides and a numbered, rectangular bow inscribed Samuel J. David. Case and movement signed and numbered.
