An English 18 carat gold pair cased key wind pocket watch made by John Peterkin in London, London Hallmarked for 1825. The gilt full plate movement with a duplex escapement, plain steel three arm balance, an engraved balance cock, a diamond endstone and silver regulation. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gilt spade hands. Both the inner and outer cases are polished. Dial signed John Peterkin London, movement numbered and signed Jno Peterkin London, the inner and outer cases are stamped W.M., cuvette, movement and inner case with matching numbers. Comes with the original winding key featuring a hardstone swivel seal.
