Gold open faced quarter repeater

A very fine, large French 18 carat gold and pearl set open faced quarter repeating pocket watch made by Breguet in Paris, circa 1835. The frosted gilt movement with a standing barrel, jewelled cylinder escapement, three arm gold balance, blued steel flat balance spring and an index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and original gold Breguet hands. The case is fully set with graduated pearls featuring a star pattern on the back. A further hinged gold cuvette. Dial and movement signed.
