Gold and enamel miniature pocket watch

A very fine and elegant Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced keyless pocket watch made by Fritz Piguet & Bachmann in Geneva in the 1880s. The frosted gilt bridge caliber movement with 16 jewels, a cylinder escapement, bimetal cut balance and blued steel Breguet balance spring. Porcelain dial with painted black Arabic hours, an outer minute track, outermost blue Arabic five minute numerals and original blued steel Louis XV hands. The solid case with an engraved band, the front bezel decorated with opalescent guilloché enamel, a hinged back with a polychrome enamel bouquet of roses and a further hinged gold cuvette. Cuvette signed, movement numbered.
