A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, dating from the last quarter of the 19th century. This watch has a mechanical hand wound movement with lever escapement and a pendant winding mechanism with a fluted crown and circular bow. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer track with Arabic numerals for the minutes, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilt Louis XV style hands. The 18 carat gold case has an overflowing hinged back with an applied monogram in ornate script and a matching gold inner cuvette. The case is numbered.
