A Swiss 14 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, dating from the last quarter of the 19th century. This watch has a mechanical hand wound movement with anker escapement. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five minute intervals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilt Louis XV style hands. The 14 carat gold case has a hinged back engraved with a large scale intertwined monogram in stylised script. The watch is fitted with a copper inner cuvette (dust cover).
