A Swiss gold calendar verge with fine polychrome enamel painted dial, circa 1790. Full plate gilt fusee movement, finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three-arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. Enamel dial with subsidiaries for time and date, Arabic numerals, surrounded by a very finely painted scene of an unclothed couple marking their names on a tree, gold hands. Winding through the painted dial. Plain consular case with substantial pendant and bow.
