A very fine, early and technically interesting Swiss 18 carat gold open faced chronograph pocket watch with independent seconds and jumping 1/4 second, circa 1860. Bridge movement, golden wheels, special lever, two barrels for the movement and the independent, stoppable seconds, very rare technical construction, triggering and stopping of the seconds and the flashing 1/4 second by pushing the crown. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, chronograph register, gold and blued steel hands. Plain case.
