Gold key wind pocket watch

A French 18 carat gold open faced pocket watch made by Jean-Antoine Lépine in Paris, circa 1790. The gilt key wind full plate movement with a fusee verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance bridge and silver regulation. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, outermost five minute markers, a winding aperture at 4 o’clock and stone set stylized hands. The case with applied three colour gold decoration on the back depicting a female with a dog companion and basket, positioned in front of three stone set arches with tree foliage surround. Movement signed and numbered, case numbered and stamped RW.
