A high-grade French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating verge figure automaton Jacquemart, circa 1820. Verge movement, repeating the hours and quarter hours. Skeletonized figure automaton Jacquemart with three-coloured gold figures on the front, striking on bells, putti with torch and arrows, in the lower part a dog hunting a duck, free view to the wheels and striking train, white enamel chapter ring with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, blued steel Breguet hands. Case with high-relief decoration, diagonal reeded band. Dial signed.
