A French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating verge pocket watch, circa 1810. Gilt full plate fusee movement, finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with polished steel coqueret, plain gilt three-arm balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, silver regulator dial. A very fine gold dial with black Arabic hours in white enamel cartouches alternating with engraved decoration, an engraved outer minute track, a polychrome enamel scene depicting a girl with her dog in the centre and blued steel Breguet hands. Plain case with a scalloped band, gold pendant and bow, a push pendant for quarter repeating on two steel gongs. Winding through the gilt cuvette on the back.
