A large and heavy French rose gold open faced repeating musical cylinder pocket watch, circa 1820. Two barrels for movement and musical mechanism, cylinder escapement, engraved balance bridge, unusual blued gong, very rare musical movement with vibrating blades on both sides of the disc. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, unusual hands in the form of a snake and an arrow. Unusual case form with lobed rim, engine-turned on the back, blanc cartouche. Cuvette signed.
