A gilt metal Swiss enamel and pearl-set centre seconds open-faced watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1860, gilt movement with duplex escapement, free-standing barrel. White enamel dial, Roman numerals, centre seconds. Gilt metal case, back glazed, cuvette with finely painted polychrome enamel bouquet of flowers, bezels and bow set with split pearls, transparent cuvette, case, and dial signed.
