A very fine, very thin and elegant French 18 carat gold and enamel open faced minute repeating keyless lever dress watch, circa 1920. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Matte silver dial with large champlevé Arabic numerals, outer minute track and original blued steel Breguet hands. Polished case, the back with a central blue champlevé enamel monogram JL within a circle. Dial signed Cartier, case numbered. Accompanied by a Cartier box.
