Hunting cased minute repeating lever by Patek Philippe

A very fine, unusual Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch with à legende dial, circa 1882. Sold on June 29, 1883 to Merrick Walsh & Phelps, St. Louis. Rhodium plated movement, fausses côtes decoration, 29 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, minute repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel à légende dial with letters spelling the name: R.I.C.H.A.R.D.L.E.W.I.S. in place of hour numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, outer hour numerals in small Arabic numerals and original blued steel spade hands. Polished case, the front engraved with a monogram REL. Case, cuvette and movement signed. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
