A very fine Swiss silver-gilt, enamel and pearl set open faced centre seconds pendant watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1870. Frosted gilt movement, Chinese caliber with free standing barrel, cylinder escapement, three armed gilt balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Case back with enamel panel finely painted with a scene of two children carrying baskets of flowers in a woodland glade, bezels, pendant and bow set with split pearls, reeded band. Gilt rimmed glazed cuvette. White enamel dial with narrow Roman numerals and outer minute and seconds divisions, original blued steel Breguet hands.  Dial signed, case signed in Chinese characters.
