An extremely fine, rare, elegant and thin Swiss platinum and baguette diamond-set open faced keyless lever dress watch, made in the 1920s. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to 8 positions, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Satiné silver dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and original blued steel cathédrale hands. Solid case, polished and brushed, the case band and pendant set with 43 baguette diamonds. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch & Clock Co. Inc.
