A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel scallop shell-form pendant watch with concealed dial, circa 1800. A hinged gilt-brass full plate movement with engraved decoration, Ø 22 mm, going barrel, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, single-footed cock, polished steel endplate and an index regulator. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. A shell-shaped case, the spring-loaded front cover reveals the dial, both sides are identically decorated with royal blue, black and green enamel, a chain suspension ring.
