A fine Swiss 18K gold painted-on enamel and pearl-set pocket watch, circa 1800.
An Empire case, the bezel set with half-pearls, the back decorated with a painted-on enamel portrait of Euterpe playing the tambourine, translucent royal blue background over sunray engine-turning, pearl-set swag above. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, winding aperture at 2 and gold arrow hands. A matte gilt full-plate movement, conical pillars, fuse and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock with polished steel endplate, and silver regulation dial. Movement signed.
