A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced key wind pocket watch made by Vacheron in Geneva, circa 1860. The nickel finish lever movement with a cut and compensated bimetallic balance. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and black hands. The hinged guilloché engraved case depicts a river and mountain scene on the reverse. Cuvette signed. Comes with a stamped purchase receipt from Christie’s dated April 5th, 1979.
