English gold open faced chronometer pocket watch Circa 1909

An English 18 carat gold keyless wind open faced chronometer pocket watch, London hallmark for 1909. Spot decorated gilt 3/4 plate movement, screwed jewelled chaton third wheel, Earnshaw style chronometer escapement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance with gold screws, blued steel helical freesprung balance spring, diamond end stone. White enamel dial, black Roman numerals, black outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued steel spade hands. Polished hinged case. Movement signed, case stamped ‘PW’.
