An English 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch made by Charles Frodsham in London, circa 1909. The cover is polished, the case back is engraved in taille–douce with the cypher J W. Chronograph, 1/5 second, activated by the round push piece located on the case band at 12 o’clock with an outer ring divided into 300. White enamel dial with radial Breguet Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dial at 6, and blued steel spade hands. A frosted and gilded brass movement, ¾ plate, AD.Fmsz, going barrel, lateral pointed tooth lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensated balance with gold poising screws and Palladium hairspring with terminal curve, polished steel index regulator; chronograph work mounted under the dial. Signature on the dial and movement.
