Gold chronograph with split seconds and 60 minute register by Smith & Son

A fine English 18 carat gold hunting cased split seconds chronograph keyless lever pocket watch with sixty minute register, circa 1909. Certificated at Kew Observatory, Class A, 75.5 Marks. 3/4 Plate gilt finished lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, diamond endstone, raised barrel. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, two sunken subsidiary dials for 60 minute register and constant seconds. Plain case, three knuckle joint, split seconds chronograph operated through two buttons in the band. Case stamped A.S. for Alfred Stram and with London date letter for 1909, dial numbered, movement signed and numbered.
