Two train open faced watch with automaton scene by Louis Duchêne

A very fine, rare and attractive Swiss 18 carat rose gold two train open faced verge watch with polychrome enamel and vari coloured gold automaton scene, circa 1800. Gilt finished two train movement, small gilt finished verge escapement with chain fusée, engraved and pierced balance cock. Small eccentric white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, above a black and blue enamel and applied vari coloured gold automaton scene depicting a lady sitting on a swing, swaying back and forth when pushed by a standing gentleman, framed by two fountains with realistically flowing water. Plain case, automaton activated by a sliding lever in the band. Case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
