Pair of miniature harps one musical and one with a watch

An extremely fine, rare and unusual Swiss pair of 18 carat gold, enamel, lapis lazuli and pearl set miniature harps, one musical, one with a watch, circa 1850. Full plate keywound watch movement, verge escapement, chain fusée. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, musical pin drum movement, stack of eight blades, activated by depressing a pin in the band, hinged within the harp shaped cases and concealed under pierced and floral decorated boards, the harps with translucent scarlet and polychrome enamel champlevé floral decoration, musical sheets, polychrome enamel musicians and putti on ivory coloured background to the fronts, lapis lazuli columns, the musical harp set with pearls, the other with diamonds, gold wire strings, on shell, scroll and ram’s head decorated feet. Accompanied by a fitted box.
