Half hunting cased keyless cylinder with matching chain by Patek Philippe

A fine and decorative Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel half hunting cased keyless cylinder watch with matching gold and enamel chain, circa 1868. Retailed by A.H. Rodanet, 36 Rue Vivienne, Paris. Gilt finished cylinder movement, 8 jewels. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals. Case with finely engraved vermicelle decoration, blue enamel Roman numerals and inner minute track to the translucent opaline enamel on engine-turned ground surrounding the glazed aperture in the front, further decorated by a scalloped border of blue enamel florets on ivory enamel ground, the reverse similarly decorated and with painted polychrome enamel flowers to the centre. Case and cuvette numbered and signed by watchmaker, cuvette also signed by retailer. Accompanied by matching gold and enamel chain.
