An English fine 20 carat gold key wind quarter repeating pair cased verge watch with repousse decoration, circa 1710, gilded full plate, verge escapement, decoratively pierced and engraved balance cock with steel 3 arm balance, diamond end stone, silvered regulation dics, two polished hammers striking on an internal bell.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring with 5 minute markers, blued steel beetle and poker hands.
Finely pierced and engraved inner case decorated with scrolling foliage and birds, finely engraved outer with pierced and engraved foliate design and four profiles in relief, monogram to the back, push repeat activated via the engraved pusher, heavy squared hinge. Movement signed.
